handmade, since 2011

I sew originals, not copies.

I'm Ola Ozimek, from Jelenia Góra, playing across Poland and a bit in Berlin. ODIO TEES is my brand — designer pieces, t-shirts, hoodies and leggings that I decorate by hand: with holographic foil, UV-glow paint, 3D print and puff. I'm not after correctness. I'm after a form that hasn't existed yet.

Recycling as a starting point

I find materials in second-hand shops, at cheap sales, sometimes in the trash. Then I rework them — resewing, adding pieces, hanging them with trinkets, mixing genres and aesthetics, until function stops being the point and form takes over.

The outside and lining often get mixed up in my work — on purpose. In my clothes one sleeve is sometimes longer than the other, a collar turns into a veil, and a lost glove might end up as a shoe ornament. I pull freely from today's pop culture and from distant cultures, but I always feel closest to street art.

People

The most interesting things happen when I join forces with others. Here are the people I keep coming back to work with.

Jakub Pieczarkowski

Together, as ODIO X Pieczarkowski, we create joint collections — from the debut "Rat Salad" to the "Psychofashion" show at OFF Piotrkowska in Łódź.

Ramona Rey

A model and singer who opened the ODIO showroom in Staniszów and shows up at our loudest shows.

Igor Czerniawski

He composes the psychedelic music that carries the audience through my shows — like through a dream.

Waldek Szymkowiak

Choreography for our joint shows — movement as carefully considered as the cut of the clothes.

I also keep coming back to work with Karolina Czarnecka, Komendarek, Sorry Boys and Jaga Hupało — a circle that's stuck together for years.

Four techniques, one philosophy

Holographic foil

I apply it by hand — it catches the light and shifts colour depending on the angle.

UV paint

Graphics that glow under ultraviolet light — a t-shirt gets a whole other life after dark.

Puff print

Print that rises above the fabric — a graphic you can actually feel under your fingers.

3D print

Layered, sculptural details applied over classic screen printing.

Two places I run

One is a workshop and shop in the city. The other — an old fire-lookout tower I converted into an art space at the foot of the mountains.
